Thermal Imaging Surveys

Thermographic Surveys

A relatively new tool for undertaking a heat loss survey and finding out with some certainty where heat is being lost is a thermal imaging camera. This technology uses infrared to accurately assess and measure where there are any areas of moisture or where there are any areas of insulation missing.

Previously, the only way in which the extent of insulation could be determined with any degree of accuracy would be to physically remove the internal wall coverings such as plasterboard. This was always highly disruptive and of course very expensive. Now, through a thermal imaging house inspection, hard evidence can be available in minutes and clearly shows where the expensive heat has been literally flying out of the doors.

In terms of attic insulation, any missing areas can be very accurately assessed from the rooms below. The information can be fully downloaded in coloured photograph form and included in a detailed report.
